Becoming a Mensch
I recently finished reading The Art of the Start by Guy Kawasaki. It was a good book and I would recommend it to anyone interested in entrepreneurship. I particularly liked the last chapter entitled The Art of Being a Mensch. Mensch is a Yiddish term for a person who is ethical, decent, and admirable. According to Kawasaki the three foundations of menschood are helping lots of people, doing what’s right, and paying back society. I believe these are admirable activities to pursue, so one of my new goals is to become a Mensch.
