I grew up in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. Since I was a kid I have always been interested in computers and business. I taught myself to do basic programming as a kid, first with Basic, then Visual Basic. I learned to set up a website as soon as I heard about this new internet thing, back in the mid 90s.

I first went to college at Brigham Young University in 2001. While in college I dabbled a little more with programming in Visual Basic, and later started doing more Web Design. I tried to start a web design business, but soon realized it wasn’t something I was too interested in, but in the process I stumbled upon something that really did interest me—Internet Marketing. For about a year or so I learned everything I could about internet marketing and experimented a lot. I was amazed with how easy it was to get free traffic from the search engines, so I began to specialize in SEO, then Web Analytics and PPC.

Over the last several years I have launched and sold many of my own websites. In early 2007 I took an opportunity to go to the Philippines to help train workers for Agents of Value to do SEO and LinkBuilding. When I got back later that year I took a job working for Russell Brunson’s DotComSecrets team in Boise, Idaho, where I worked as their SEO and Web Analytics manager for much of 2008, and later worked as one of their Advanced Coaches for SEO through early 2009.

In 2009 I went back to school at the Univeristy of Utah to try to inch closer to finishing out my undergrad degree although I only took a few classes at first. For the next few years I worked from home on my own websites as well as taking on clients when needed doing mostly online marketing work. During that time I started to do a little more programming mostly in PHP when I found myself in need of simple tools for my online business. I slowly started to rediscover my passion for programming that I had as a teenager, and in late 2012 decided I wanted to pursue a career that involved more software engineering, so I went back to school full time to take whatever computer science classes I could, finish up my undergrad degree, and possibly study Computer Science in Graduate school.

I currently work at Property Solutions as a Data Analyst and am back in school to finish my bachelors degree in Economics, and preparing to study something related to Computer Science, Data and/or Business in graduate school.
