For the past several weeks I have been participating in a program called Junto. Here is a brief description of what it is, from the Junto Parnters website

Recognizing an untapped potential in younger entrepreneurs
The Junto program follows a systematic process to identify entrepreneurs with the greatest probabilities of success. It then provides relevant training and experience; financing for business launches; and ongoing high-level networking and mentoring opportunities

I have really enjoyed my experience in Junto. This next week will be our final week of class where we will make a presentation showing the class why we should be selected as one of the “Junto Five”, five individual who will be given seed money start thier own businesses with an equity stake in each others businesses. Even if I am not selected as one of the five my experience in Junto has already been well worth my time. What I value the most from my participation in Junto is the sense of empowerment that it has given me that I am capable of succeeding as an entrepreneur. I am so pumped from my expereince that I plan on starting a business this summer regardless of wether or not I am selected as one of the five. I look forward to sharing some of the knowledge and experiences I have gained through Junto in the future.
