Perry Marshall Is Podcasting

Perry Marshall recently started a podacast at PerryMarshallPodcast.com. He has done three podcasts so far in a series of what will eventually be eight about sales copywriting. The Podcasts are very well done and I will definatly be listening to them in the future. A few things I took away from his first three podcasts are…

*The optimal length of sales copy letter is just long enough to convince someone to take the next step

*The more you are asking readers to do the longer your copy should be. If you are just asking a user to sign up for a free report your copy shouldn’t be too long since you are not asking very much. However, if you are asking someone to attend a $1,000 seminar your sales copy should be significanly longer.

*Target your sales copy to those that are most likely to buy. You shouldn’t be too worried that you copy is too long and will cause many people to lose interest. You should be more worried that your copy is too short and doesn’t give those people that are seriously considering your product enough information to buy. It is better to provide too much information than too little.

I am a huge fan of Perry Marshall, and I am excited to learn more from him from his podcasts.
